# 1 Les Sables d'Olonne
The coastal town of Les Sables d'Olonne has evolved into a beloved holiday destination over the years. There is a wide range of things to experience and discover here for tourists! The surroundings of Les Sables d'Olonne are ideally suited for exploration by bicycle. You can cycle through nearby forests, marshlands, and the Atlantic Coast. Countless routes are available in the area, varying in difficulty and ensuring a suitable route for every level. A staggering 285 kilometres of bike paths extend along the coast, with multiple access points to the beach and routes that traverse the dunes.
# 2 Marais Breton Vendéen - Les Sables d'Olonne
A healthy bike ride in the salty air of the Atlantic Coast is highly recommended during your stay at Oasis Les Jardins. This beautiful cycling route runs along the Atlantic Coast and along the highlights of Côte de Lumière. The starting point is at the Marais Breton Vendéen wetland area, at the "Chinese Harbor". From here, the route passes the beach of Saint-Jean-de-Monts, the sardine harbour of Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie, the surfing hotspots of Brétignolles and the swampy Marais d'Olonne. The route ends in the seaside resort of Les Sables d'Olonne.

# 3 La Rochelle - Rochefort
This bicycle route starts at La Rochelle and then follows a path along the coast to the seaside town of Chatelaillon-Plage. This charming town offers beautiful views over the bay and is the perfect spot for a sunny break on the beach. We also advise visiting the oyster shack while you're here. Learn all about oysters and participate in an oyster tasting, a great lunch option! The route continues through the lowlands of Les Landes to the city of Rochefort, the endpoint of this track. Rochefort has a rich history. Visit the old water tower for example, or stop by the museum to learn more about the city's maritime past.

# 4 Saint Gilles Croix de Vie - Les Sables d'Olonne
In the Vendée, Saint Gilles Croix de Vie is a well-known seaside resort with a large fishing port. This is where your cycling route starts. Enjoy a delicious mackerel or sardine, freshly caught from the sea, before you hop on your bike. From this seaside town, the route continues to the vineyard of Brem sur Mer, a beautiful area to cycle through. Enjoy the tranquillity and surroundings as you cycle towards the Avocettes trail, which is farther from the coast and heads more towards a wooded area. The stunning Olonne forest and the old salt pans are now protected areas, but fortunately, accessible for cycling. Ultimately, you will arrive at the marinas of Les Sables d'Olonne, where this cycling route comes to an end.

# 5 RĂ©aumur - La Roche sur Yon
This cycling route starts in Réaumur and takes you along many diverse seaside resorts and towns in the Vendée. From the starting point, you cycle past the beautiful castles of Saint-Mesmin and towards the historic Tiffauges. Here, you'll admire a castle ruin and several remarkable heritage sites. The bike ride continues, leading you by the Le Puy de Fou park, which is definitely worth a visit. The route then continues to the banks of the Sèvre River, ultimately ending in La Roche sur Yon. Relax here with a drink in Napoleon Square and enjoy a moment of reflection on a wonderful day.
